is a growth of fleshy tissue (has blood vessels) that may start as a pinguecula. It can remain small or grow large enough to cover part of the cornea. When this happens, it can affect your vision.<\/p>\n

Symptoms of pterygium can range from mild to severe. They include:<\/p>\n\n

    Risk factors that cause pterygium are: The eyes are continuously exposed to ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight for long periods of time. Moreover, pterygium also caused by dry eyes and various environment, which can lead to eye irritation, such as dust, smoke, wind and air.
